Dr. Mitchell’s weight loss program
On this diet you need to prepare special “fat burn” soup. If fairly follow doctor Mitchell’s diet, you will lose 10-14 lbs a week.
The recipe of “fat burn” soup:
1 root of celery (about 200 g);
1 lb of carrots;
1 lb of a green siliculose string bean;
6 big onions;
2 green bell peppers;
1 average cabbage;
1.3 l of tomato juice;
800 g fresh or tinned tomatoes wiped or in own juice;
800 g low-fat beef broth.
Vegetables finely cut, fill in with broth. It is important, that the liquid completely covered vegetables, therefore if it is necessary – add more boiled water. Bring soup to boiling and cook within 10 minutes on high, and then boil on low to readiness of vegetables. Because there is an acid in broth, cooking process is long enough, all together takes about 25-30 minutes. Add greens. You may also add salt and pepper, but soup is spicy enough.
Nutrition at Dr. Mitchell’s diet
You should eat as much as possible soup mentioned above. The more you eat it, more lbs you lose.
You should exclude from ration bread, alcohol, aerated drinks, sweets and fried products. Drink water, unsweetened tea (green tea is better), cranberry juice, skim milk, fruit juice without sugar. Cup of coffee is OK, but without sugar and milk. If there will be a necessity to drink an alcohol, you should stop dieting 24 hours prior to alcohol reception. Besides it’s very important to strictly follow instructions. If you have broken them – begin a diet from first day. And still, if you have lost for the first week more than 15 lbs, wait couple of days before beginning to start afresh. Also do not follow diet for more than two weeks in row.
- 1st day:
All fruit, except bananas and soup. Both as much as you want. Drinks – unsweetened tea, cranberry juice, water.
2nd day:
As much vegetables as possible; except dried peas, string beans and corn. Especially good green sheet vegetables: salad, spinach. Eat it all with soup. For a supper take big baked potato with vegetable oil. Do not eat fruit.
3rd day:
Eat soup of fruit, and vegetables as much as you want, but not baked potatoes.
4th day:
Bananas – up to three pieces, skim milk. If you do not tolerance milk, replaces it with 500 g fat-free cottage cheese or yogurt. Eat soup and drink as much water as possible. Bananas contain many calories and carbohydrates. This day potassium, carbohydrates, calcium and proteins are necessary for you to reduce thirst for sweets.
5th day:
Soup! Beef and tomatoes. You can eat 350-700 g beef and 400 g tomatoes, approximately 6 pieces, preserved in own juice tomatoes are recommended. Try to drink not less than 6-8 glasses of liquid this day to deduce from an organism excess of uric acid.
6th day:
Beef, vegetables except potatoes. Soup – as much as you want.
7th day:
Unbleached rice – brown, wild, fruit juice without sugar, vegetables – as much as you want. And, of course, soup.
In one of the “beef” days you can eat chicken – grilled or baked in an oven without a skin – or low-fat fish.
